So, both windows will go down on the drivers side buttons, but you have to raise the passenger window on the passenger side. It only likes starting if it has more than 1/4 of a tank, and the fuel pump is buzzing at me. That's an easy fix. The hatch has some sort of motor that I can't work out what it really does. The parking brake being at my left thigh is still something that I am still not getting used to. And the shift light picks weird times when to tell me to shift up. I adore her.

Sounds as strange as all the gremlins usually found in old VW bugs.....

Mine was the opposite. Drivers' side controlled down and up on both windows, but the passenger side only controlled down.
No idea what the hatch button is. I just used the key.
I swapped an odometer in without a shift light. :P

Crikey, mine is the same. The passenger side only works for lowering the window, it has to be raised with the driver's side switch.

For the window switches, clean the contacts on the switches by disassembling them. Fuel pump buzz may just be the relay or the pump's on it's way out. Not sure about the gas tank thing

I think I need a new fuel pump. That's a cheap fix though.
